HOW TO ADOPT A DOG FROM LOMBOK
Give a rescued street dog a second chance. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.
How to Adopt
By adopting a Lomdog you're not just gaining a pet, you're giving a rescued street dog a second chance, you also free space in our shelter for us to save another dog from a life of hardship.
Whether you are based on the island or looking to adopt internationally, we will guide you through each step so the process feels clear and manageable.
We do not charge an adoption fee.
Instead, adopters cover essential costs such as vaccinations, travel, and documentation.

Adoption at a Glance
Local adoption (Lombok): around 2 to 4 weeks
No cost (transport not included)
International adoption (Europe and beyond): around 4 months
Costs between €1,500 - €2,000
The Adoption Process
Browse our available dogs and take your time getting to know them. We will help you choose based on personality, energy level, and your home environment, not just appearance.

Fill out a short application so we can understand your situation and what kind of dog would suit you best. This is simply to make sure each dog goes to the right home.
We will arrange a call or chat to talk through everything. You can ask questions, and we can make sure it feels like a good fit on both sides. Once approved, your dog will be reserved for you.
Before going home, every dog receives:
Health checks
Vaccinations
Parasite treatment
Microchipping for international adoptions
We make sure each dog is healthy and ready for the next step.

International Adoption
If you are based in Lombok, the process is much quicker.
Timeline: around 2 to 4 weeks
You will be able to meet your dog and spend as much time as needed getting to know them.
Local adoptions make a big difference. They allow dogs to stay close to where they were rescued and help us continue our work.
We regularly arrange adoptions to Europe and other countries.
The process takes longer because of international health regulations, but we guide you through everything, and handle all paperwork.
Timeline: around 4 months
This includes:
Rabies vaccination
Blood test
Required waiting period before travel
Export paperwork
Flight arrangements
Dogs travel in airline-approved crates and are carefully prepared so the journey is as safe and comfortable as possible.
