Hello, my name is Jourena, and I am the founder of Lomdogs Animal Care.

I came to Lombok in 2017 and was struck by how beautiful the island is. It felt peaceful and untouched. But behind that beauty was something much harder to ignore. So many street dogs were struggling just to survive.

Food was scarce. Many were injured or sick. Every day was a fight to survive.

One day, I found a tiny puppy. His eyes were still closed, and he was completely alone. I could not leave him there. I took him in, and he became my first dog, Loui.

Loui changed everything.

How one rescue became a mission to protect Lombok’s street dogs.

Through him, I experienced a kind of unconditional love I had never known before.

I began feeding dogs on the streets, volunteering in sterilisation programs, and helping injured dogs wherever I could. What started small slowly became something much bigger.

In 2022, I registered the foundation. It was a commitment to creating a better future for Lombok’s street dogs.

The journey has not been easy. But the love that started with one small puppy is still here, stronger than ever, driving me to keep going.

With your support, we can reach more dogs, treat more injuries, and give more of them the chance that Loui had.

Behind the island’s beauty, thousands of dogs struggle to survive every day.

Behind Lombok’s beauty lies a difficult truth.

Thousands of street dogs live without reliable food, shelter, or medical care. Many suffer from untreated injuries, infections, and disease. Without widespread sterilisation, the population continues to grow, leaving more animals exposed to the same cycle.

Every day, these dogs face:

Starvation and dehydration
Injuries from traffic and fights
Untreated illness and infection
Abandonment and neglect

Puppies are especially vulnerable, and many do not survive their first year.

Their suffering often goes unseen. But it does not have to continue.

Every dog deserves compassion. Every life matters.

We focus on practical, hands-on work that reduces suffering and creates long-term change for both dogs and the communities they live in.

Our work includes:

Street rescues for injured and vulnerable dogs
Emergency veterinary care and medical treatment
Spay and neuter programs to prevent overpopulation
Rehabilitation and recovery for dogs in need
Responsible adoption, locally and internationally

We prioritise treating dogs where they are whenever possible, allowing us to help more animals while keeping our work sustainable.

Helping More Dogs, The Right Way

Focused on sustainable solutions that create lasting change, not temporary relief.

We believe real change comes from addressing the root of the problem, not just the symptoms.

Most of the dogs we treat are returned to their territory once they are healthy. This allows them to remain in an environment they know, while freeing up resources to help others.

We only provide long-term shelter for dogs who cannot safely return, such as those with severe injuries or disabilities.

By combining prevention, treatment, and responsible care, we are building a model that creates lasting impact.
