Hello, my name is Jourena. I am an Indonesian animal lover and the founder of Lomdogs Animal Care.
I came to Lombok in 2017 and was struck by how beautiful and peaceful the island was. But behind that beauty was something much harder to ignore. So many street dogs were struggling to survive. Food was scarce, and many were sick, injured or simply left to fend for themselves.
One day, I found a tiny puppy. His eyes were still closed, and he was completely alone. I could not leave him there. I took him in, and he became my first dog, Loui.
Loui changed everything.

One Dog Changed Everything
A message from our founder
Through him, I experienced a kind of unconditional love I had never known before. I began feeding dogs on the streets, volunteering in sterilisation programs and helping injured dogs wherever I could. What started small slowly became something much bigger.
In 2022, I officially registered Lomdogs Animal Care, with a commitment to creating a better future for Lombok's street dogs.
The journey has not always been easy, but the love that started with one small puppy is still here, stronger than ever.
With your support, we can reach more dogs, provide the care they need and give more of them the chance Loui had.

Why Lomdogs Exists
Behind Lombok's beauty lies a difficult reality. Many street dogs live without reliable access to food, shelter or veterinary care.
Injuries, illness, hunger and neglect are common, while limited access to sterilisation means more puppies are born into the same difficult conditions.
Much of this suffering goes unseen.
Lomdogs exists to help dogs in need and work towards a better future for street dogs in our local community.

Where We Work
Lomdogs Animal Care is based near Kuta, South Lombok, where we work with street dogs in the surrounding areas.
Lombok is a large island, and we are a small organisation with a limited team and resources. Because of this, we focus our work within our local community, where we can provide consistent support and make the biggest difference possible.
Our medical team responds to reports of injured and sick dogs within our operating area, while our CNVR work focuses on managing the street dog population in the communities around Southern Lombok.

Our Approach
We believe the best way to help street dogs is to address the causes of the problem, not just treat the symptoms.
Most of the dogs we treat are returned to the area where they were found once they have recovered. This allows them to return to a familiar environment, while allowing our limited resources to help other dogs in need.
We provide long-term shelter only for dogs who cannot safely return, including those with severe injuries, disabilities or ongoing medical needs.
By combining prevention, medical care and responsible shelter, we can help more dogs and create lasting change in our local community.
